Central Tours was founded by Ruben Afonso, a former Portuguese Army soldier who, in 2017, made a bold decision to transform his career and follow his passion for tourism. With a degree in Tourism Information and Entertainment, Ruben brought with him something truly unique: years of military service in several units across the country, which provided him with a deep, territorial, and cultural understanding of Portugal from north to south. This intimate knowledge of landscapes, regional identities, traditions, and local stories forms the backbone of the way Central Tours presents Portugal to the world.

Portugal’s history is not only national—it is global.
